The Maple Patrol - Episode 3: Hackers I might have been willing to play MapleStory, but they decided to ban all European users from playing on the global servers so that they could charge them nearly double the price for Nexxon cash. This means that anyone I'm vaguely likely to play the game with I can't, because of this forced segregation. I even made this diagram to show the whole injustice of the thing, but I may have exaggarated a little.

I pointed out these issues, along with the money disparity on the Nexxon boards, but they mysteriously disappeared...

Awesome comic. "So... these guys?" Amazing. How did they know they were hacke-OH! I GOT IT! I think that the third panel wasn't just to show you how they look, that's how it seriously looked. They were three guys floating in whiteland! BRILLIANT!

"Goldiebrown" is still better than that one DC comic, where the black kid looked like a black-face clown and his name was "Whitewash".

True. Or Ebony White from 'The Spirit'. Although to be fair, Ebony White was one of the earliest positive depictations of a black character, regardless of his appearance.

Hm, good point. Although I decided that they needed to be visible rather than sihouettes to differentiate it a little more from MST3K's style, and to allow me to make the characters seem a little more animated...

But I can see what you mean... I'll get round to experimenting with some gradient effects sometime, or just darken the sheet to make it easier when I'm concerned about the art style again.

But right now, I'm more concerned about keeping the writing quality consistent, so I'd probably better get back to finishing today's comic!
